We at Plateau Spirits have twisted our version with all of the above + fresh botanicals like papaya, cocos, coffee beans, angelica root, and after destilling we let it macerate for a week in fresh lemon balm to get the green colour.
So it is a very smooth 61% absinthe, made from the best base spirits from our farm destilleri in Northern Sweden.
Absinthe originated in Switzerland in the late 18th century. It rose to great popularity as an alcoholic drink in late 19th- and early 20th-century France, particularly among Parisian artists and writers.
Notable absinthe drinkers included Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Arthur Rimbaud, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust, Edgar Allan Poe.
